Escape to Bora Bora

In the warm, azure waters of the South Pacific, lies a place of breathtaking natural beauty: a coconut-studded, lush, 9 km long emerald island surrounded by a spectacular fringing reef. A veritable oasis complete with an impossibly turquoise lagoon and a monumental rock of a volcano at its heart. This is the French Polynesian island of Bora Bora. It’s a pristine piece of paradise – and it’s there for the select few.

At 17 degrees south of the equator, days on this idyllic island are lazy and sun-drenched, nights are romantic and moonlit. Bora Bora’s climate, known as marine-tropical, makes for warm weather, year-round. And that makes Bora Bora a haven for everyone – and everything – that flourishes in warmth: from explorers throughout the ages, to the hospitable Polynesian natives, to the myriad of colorful tropical fish and lush plant life.
