Exteriors
At Clarke’s Estates, enjoy the simple lines and charm of an island home in two plans, created to optimize the possibilities of the eight sites. Both plans are finished with your choice of pastel stucco and pre-finished metal roofing. In the two-storey plan, the roof is accented by dormers in the upstairs master suite. Louvred windows and eight-foot-high louvre doors reflect the character of the tropics. Large, screened verandahs are highlighted by wood columns, trellises and balustrades. At the front entrance and pool deck or veranda steps, a foot shower indicates the level of thoughtful detail.
Interiors
Interior floors are finished with oversized shell stone tile, with shell stone or painted wood baseboards. Cathedral ceilings feature exposed wood on painted rafters; while privacy and ground floor ceilings are coordinated with your wall colour in a smooth stucco finish. Ceiling fans are placed in all bedrooms, living room, kitchen and study/media room, including four in the Great Room. Eight-foot-high interior doors with fixed louvres are placed at closets and storage areas. Lockable storage closets include one lined in cedar; a security safe is in the Master Bedroom. All homes are pre-wired throughout for audio visual, and include a large HD flat-screen TV with 5.1 surround sound and HD DVD/CD, iPod dock, local cable television and radio, in-wall speaker systems, and auto-muting volume controls.
Kitchens
Granite countertops and backsplash are complemented by cabinets with a semi-gloss paint finish. A conversation island features cabinets below and a granite countertop. A stainless steel double sink includes stainless steel faucet and sprayer. Seven white Energy Star-rated appliances include a four-element dual-fuel 36" range; cook top; built-in dishwasher; double-door refrigerator/freezer with ice maker; wine cooler and ice maker; full-size, front-loading washer and side-by-side dryer.
Bathrooms
Polished Botticino marble gleams on tub surround and shower, complemented by a staggered joint or mosaic floor. Vanities, with full-width mirrors, are constructed with raised-panel doors in a semi-gloss paint finish. Polished Botticino slab countertops include white drop-in sinks and chrome accents. A glass-panel, doorless walk-in shower features a rainhead-style head. In combined tub/showers, a white, cast-iron tub has both fixed and hand-held shower heads.
Services
Pre-wiring of Clarke’s Estates homes permits cable television in all bedrooms and living room. Four telephone lines have been installed per villa: hotel, security, personal and facsimile. A telephone outlet is provided in all bedrooms, living room and kitchen. Services include a motion-detector security system monitored by a central community station and central HEF generators to back up the island electrical supply.
