For 20 years, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts offered its renowned service to sophisticated travelers at The Olympic Hotel in downtown Seattle. When Four Seasons left the Emerald City in 2003, a group of prominent local investors was determined to bring it back in an extraordinary way.
In 2004, The Seattle Hotel Group LLC began searching for a new downtown home for the world’s premier hospitality company. Within months, the group secured a landmark location with unsurpassed views of Elliott Bay, the Olympic Mountains and the Seattle skyline.
In fall 2008, the new Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences opened beside the world-famous Pike Place Market and across from Seattle Art Museum. With its prime location in the cultural heart of downtown Seattle, Four Seasons provides residents and guests the service for which the company is internationally known. And with that, Seattle is once again among a select group of international cities where you can call Four Seasons your home – not just your home away from home.
The Seattle Hotel Group LLC is a private, Seattle-based company responsible for bringing the Four Seasons brand back to the city. Formed to develop Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Seattle, the group includes partners John Oppenheimer, Columbia Hospitality president and CEO; experienced developer and former Seattle Mayor Paul Schell; and Tom Alberg, Madrona Venture Group managing director; as well as several other local investors, including leading businessman and entrepreneur Bruce McCaw.
Imagine Four Seasons as your home…
