Construction Updates

Site Construction Update as of January 22, 2009

Holiday visitors have come and gone and construction progress at Four Seasons Resort Vail continues, as seen in the details below.

A model residence club home is now available!  Please contact us to take a tour to touch and feel what could be yours – furnishings that invite you to cuddle up and nestle in, a kitchen that inspires you to create that entre you haven’t dared before, baths for soaking, steaming and dreaming.  Pictures will be posted soon to show you all the fine details.

Amidst our snow-filled days, work on both the interior and exterior of the building has continued.  You’ll continue to see tenting around the structure allowing the crew to complete weather sensitive items and maintain a dried-in building.  The roof is nearing completion with the final areas of shingles, flashing and Bylin being installed.

Framing throughout the building continues with a focus on the public spaces and amenities.  The framing of the intricate ceilings of the restaurant are near completion and drywall in the lobby has begun.   Ceiling plastering has been progressing through the buildings with the crews working on the 9th floor beginning last week.  

The majority of the commercial kitchen and laundry equipment has arrived and been placed for final installation.  The kitchen and laundry finishes are continuing with the epoxy flooring almost complete and the wall tile completed.    Even the complex mechanical systems of the building are beginning to take shape with the first of 3 boilers being fired up this past week producing hot water in the building for the first time. 

Four Seasons Resort Vail includes a 121-room hotel, 19 fractional residences and 16 whole-ownership condominiums. The site is located just southwest of the main Vail roundabout and will include a restaurant, spa, pool, après ski lounge and select retail boutiques.
